 WORKING PROCEDURE

The first meeting with the client entails a discussion of the client's expectations and photography site. Ms. Williams spends time talking with and observing the subject and conceptualizing the composition. A photography session is arranged and the subject is photographed in a variety of poses and lighting conditions. This session takes approximately 11/2 hours. If necessary additional photographs can be taken at a second shoot. From these photos, the artist chooses several favorites and confers with the client to select the final pose. Following this, the artist will paint a small preliminary study in oil to work out the mood and composition of the proposed portrait. Upon the client's approval of the study, the artist will begin the final portrait. The client is shown the painting at midpoint either in person or by photographs. Delivery of the portrait is arranged upon its completion. Ms. Williams is happy to assist with the selection of a frame. The cost of the photography is included in the listed price.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE

One- third payment is requested at the time of commission and signing of the contract. An additional one- third is requested when the portrait reaches midpoint. The final one-third is paid at time of delivery.
