Portrait Procedure

Portraits can be done from your favorite photo, or a combination of photos. For example, the pose from one, hair color or clothes from another. Changes be incorporated, such as removing braces from teeth, improving hairstyle, etc. If there is no desirable photo in your collection, a photo session will be scheduled at your residence or your chosen environment. The photos are then used as reference for the portrait. This procedure produces more natural and relaxed expressions than hours of "posed" sittings. The client can choose his or her favorite expression rather than being "surprised" by an artist's choice. This allows the artist's interpretation to be governed by the client's preferences, while working under studio conditions. Delivery - Approximately 2 months for pastel and 4 months for oil for one subject, normal size. Payment - A 50% (non-refundable) deposit is required at time of order; balance is due upon completed portrait delivery. Your satisfaction is important -- portraits will be executed to your liking. Portraits are a tradition from of old, but have recently experienced a resurgence in our technical age when so little is totally original!
