Pet portrait prices are available upon request. procedure I meet with the subject and learn about them in the process of posing, chatting, and seeing their surroundings and mannerisms. The portrait is a collaborative process with someone who knows the subject well. We discuss clothing, background, size, where the portrait will be displayed, etc. I take digital pictures with different poses and lighting and will sketch the subject from life for 30 minutes to 1 hour and make color notes at that time if necessary. A full size drawing using a combination of different photographs for background reference etc. will be presented before the painting process begins.
